READ: Agot draws flak, support after calling Duterte a 'psychopath' | By: onlinebloggerph.blogspot.com

MANILA – Actress Agot Isidro drew mixed reactions from netizens after she criticized President Rodrigo Duterte for his latest tirades against the European Union and the United States.

Last Thursday, Duterte said he would rather die of hunger than accept aid from superpowers that wish to meddle in his war against illegal drugs.

Duterte said Philippines "will survive" even sans aid from traditional allies, the US and EU, which are among the country's major sources of official development assistance.

In a Facebook post on Friday that has since become viral, Isidro called Duterte a "psychopath."

“Unang-una, walang umaaway sa iyo. As a matter of fact, ikaw ang nang-aaway. Pangalawa, yung bansa Kung saan ka inuluklok ng 16 million out of 100+ million people ay Third World. Kung makapagsalita ka parang superpower and pilipinas eh. At excuse me, ayaw namin magutom. Mag-isa ka na Lang. wag kang mandamay. Hindi na nga nakakain ang nakararami, gugutumin mo pa lalo,” she wrote.

Isidro also wrote: “May kilala along psychiatrist. Patingin ka. Hindi ka bipolar. You are a psychopath.”

Isidro’s post made it to the list of local trending topics on Twitter.

While some netizens supported Isidro for voicing out her opinion, others lambasted the actress because of her post.

Even actress Elizabeth Oropesa seemed to be reacting to Isidro’s post on Sunday, when she posted a picture of her wearing a pro-Duterte shirt, writing in the caption: “One of the 16 million psycopaths.”

Here are some of the comments on social media to Isidro's post:

Meanwhile, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said that while the actress was entitled to her own opinion, “we need to really hear what the President is calling Filipinos to do, which is be free from dependence on foreign aid, which is what the lady is fearful we will lose.”
